Description
An extraordinary Vacheron Constantin 1972 Prestige de la France Ref. 25510/000G-9160, combining one of the Manufacture’s most distinctive asymmetric case designs with an exceptional high-jewellery pavé diamond setting.
Dating from circa 2004, this rare creation is based on the celebrated 1972 Grand Modèle Cambré, a dramatically curved and asymmetric design inspired by the historic Prestige de la France. Its unconventional proportions make it instantly recognizable as one of Vacheron Constantin’s most daring dress-watch designs.
The sculptural 23 × 45 mm case is crafted in solid 18k white gold and measures only approximately 7 mm thick, allowing the elongated case to sit elegantly along the wrist.
The watch is spectacularly set with 333 brilliant-cut diamonds, totaling approximately 3.93 carats. The pavé setting extends across both the case and dial, creating a seamless high-jewellery appearance while preserving the unmistakable asymmetric architecture of the 1972.
Completing the watch is its 18k white gold Vacheron Constantin buckle with diamond setting. Inside is a Vacheron Constantin quartz movement, currently fitted with a brand-new battery.
A brand-new original Vacheron Constantin semi-gloss alligator leather strap has been ordered directly from Vacheron Constantin and is expected to arrive around mid-to-late October.
The watch is accompanied by its original Vacheron Constantin inner and outer presentation boxes. Its original retail price was approximately $55,000 in 2004, reflecting the exceptional diamond setting and high-jewellery execution of this reference.
