Le Petit Suisse Warranty Policy
At Le Petit Suisse, we take pride in offering a curated collection of vintage timepieces, each with its own history and character. To ensure customer satisfaction, we provide a 1-year warranty that covers the mechanical timekeeping of the watch.
What Our Warranty Covers
- The warranty only covers the mechanical timekeeping function of the watch.
- If a watch experiences irregular timekeeping or malfunctions due to an internal mechanical issue, we will arrange for repairs through our appointed watchmaker or an approved service provider.
What Our Warranty Does NOT Cover
Our warranty does not cover:
- Water resistance or waterproof damage.
- Theft, loss, or misplacement of the watch or its parts.
- External damage, including scratches, dents, or shock damage.
- Scratches, damages, breaking or wear on the case or bracelet
- Broken mainsprings on manual wound watches
- Unauthorized modifications, disassembly, or servicing by any watchmaker not appointed or approved by us.
- Any damage caused by improper handling, accidents, or negligence.
- Fraud or attempts to modify the authenticity of the watch.
Warranty Validation
To claim a warranty repair, you must:
- Provide the original invoice matching the rightful owner and the corresponding watch.
- Contact us immediately upon noticing an issue to arrange for proper servicing.
How Warranty Repairs Are Handled
- We will either:
- Send the watch to our appointed watchmaker for servicing.
- Appoint a local watchmaker in your area and cover the repair cost fully or partially, depending on our agreement.
- Some brands (e.g., Cartier, Rolex, Audemars Piguet) require servicing through official service centers. In these cases:
- You must visit an authorized service point for diagnosis.
- We require a written estimate detailing findings, replaced parts, and performed work before approval.
- Only upon our confirmation will we cover the invoice, which must be issued with our details. If these conditions are not met, we reserve the right to refuse payment.
Warranty Continuation & Limitations
- If your watch is repaired under our warranty, the coverage remains valid for the remaining period.
- In some cases, the warranty can be renewed or extended.
- If a third-party watchmaker or an official brand service center (whether appointed by us or not) repairs the watch, our warranty is void and any further claims must be directed to the servicing party.
- Le Petit Suisse is not responsible for any wear, damage, loss, or theft of a watch or its parts once it is under the care of an external service provider.
For any warranty-related concerns, please reach out to us, and we will assist you in resolving the issue as efficiently as possible.
