A Dial of Character – Black Matte Patina with Sunken Indices
The standout feature of this reference is undoubtedly its original black dial, which has aged to a gorgeous matte charcoal patina. Unlike glossy reprints or refinished surfaces, this dial retains its original factory texture, with the soft, velvety matte finish developed naturally over time—a visual depth few modern pieces can match.
But most striking of all are the rare sunken indexes, deeply recessed into the dial plane with a sculptural, almost architectural presence. These applied elements catch light from within shadowed wells, creating subtle contrasts that shift as the watch moves.
