Description
An exceptionally rare and elegant Jaeger-LeCoultre Étrier Ref. 1671 from the 1960s, originally retailed by Hermès Paris. A fascinating example of vintage watchmaking and design, combining Jaeger-LeCoultre’s mechanical expertise with the unmistakable elegance of the famous Parisian fashion house.
The distinctive 23 × 35 mm stainless steel case features the sculptural stirrup-shaped design that gave the Étrier its name. Also known as the Lucchetto, its unusual silhouette recalls the letter H, making it particularly fitting for its association with Hermès.
Most importantly, the caseback is signed Hermès Paris and features hand-engraved Hermès stock numbers, providing fascinating evidence of its original retail provenance.
The original silver dial remains in beautiful condition, complemented by a spotless mineral crystal and the original Jaeger-LeCoultre steel crown.
Inside beats the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 840 manual-wind movement, freshly serviced and running excellent. The watch is completed by a handmade Belgian black leather strap.
